He may be crazy but there are no signs of mental illness.

I revived my blog just to share this copy from a little article on CNN titled Iraq war vet charged with first-degree murder in 4 homeless men's deaths. Doubtlessly, it is a tragedy at every level. What got my attention, and what I want to share with you, is a comment by the prosecutor, Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas. It is nestled between two other comments that he made. I highlighted it for you. The text is pasted directly from the CNN website, hence the double-quotes.

”This 23-year-old was a vicious killer. He had on his mind to kill people, and he followed through on that, and he was a monster, and he was a terrible threat, particularly to the homeless people in our county," Rackauckas said.
"We have no indication whatsoever that he was mentally ill," the prosecutor said.
The first victim was stabbed more than 40 times, Rackauckas said, and "in each of these cases, the violence, the number of stabbing wounds of each victim, increased." “

Hmmmmm. No indication at all, counselor Rackauckas?

I'm not an expert or anything but I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that stabbing someone 40 times might be an indication of mental illness. Just a thought.

  1. Ok. Brought to my attention that someone didn't get it so I shall explain. Stabbing someone more than 40 times is without doubt, the sign of a very bad mental illness. Normal don't do that. Even when forced to fight for their life, they will stop when the other person is dead. Prosecutors are the epitome of nearsightedness and onetrackmindedness in my opinion. They care not for the truth at all.
